stock hurst vs. pro 5.0

Default stock hurst vs. pro 5.0

hey when i launch and am spinning in 1st and second, i can never hit third gear good. i have the stock hurst shifter now, would going to a pro 5.0 fix this?

I've never missed 3rd with the 5.0. I'm not completely happy with the shifter, but it's impossible to miss a shift with it.

I have the hurst and I never, ever miss shifts. WHEN I had hydraulic issues, 3rd would take longer to shift into, or it would not go in at all. A shifter would not fix that, it was a clutch issue.

The spinning issue is a suspension/tire/driver error issue which needs to be address seperately.

BUT next year I would like to try out a Pro 5.0 and see how she runs. Since my shifting issues have gone away, I will be fine.

i think more than anything your problem is the actual stick, not the shifter itself. i have jarrod's short stick with the hurst shifter and have had very few problems with missing gears ever since it was installed.

yeah it probably is me, but i might try cutting it down a little and see if that helps
