I had a Pro 5.0 in my V6, and when I did the V8 swap 2 years ago I got the Pro 5.0 as well. I have a custom stick that I made in machine class, but I have 0 complaints about it. It saw DD duties for a year after I did the swap. Loved it.

However I am curious about the craze of the MGW so I just sold my Pro 5.0 to get one. I didn't have any problems with the Pro 5.0, I just drove a buddies terminator with a MGW and loved it, so I want to try it out on my car.

On a side note, I have driven multiple cars with the Hurst Billet Plus, the only word for that shifter is AMAZING. So clean and smooth. Never missed a gear. I just prefer my shifter to be a bit more notchy...some people don't like that though.

Its because they wear out. Ive driven a new one (less than 1k miles) and an old one (it had about 20k miles) and there is a very big difference in the feel of them. Its hard to explain because you get used to it over time but its there after a while.

My PRO 5.0 has about 85k miles on it (first and maybe the best mod I did for my car). I guess its really wore out? My shifter still shifts itself, all you have to do is push it forward or backwards and it finds the gear on its own. I have drove cars with other shifters but have never thought about changing mine. PRO 5.0 FTW.

I love the notchy feel of my Pro 5.0. It gives me the sense that I am driving a car with raw, unrefined power; like a true muscle/pony car. If I was driving a European sports car I would opt for a smoother shifter. It really comes down to personal preference.

So I've been doing a little research on this mgw everyone speaks of... Is there a sponsor that carries it? Also, on the mgw website it shows a stick already on it, does any one know if it comes with a stick and if so is it nice or do you recommend another? Thanks again for the info guys, I really appreciate it.

MGW is sold through only them. I used their stick and its a good lenght. Remember that shorter isnt always better. However, I do think you can use any stick that will fit into their shifter.

Well I just read a few post about how the mgw doesn't have any internal stops in the shifter. Is this an issue cause I don't want to tear **** up just to have a bad *** shifter...

No, its not an issue. Having the stops can also be a huge negative issue if you adjust them wrong. With that said, unless you constantly powershift the vehicle you will not have a problem with the internal stops on the T56. That comes from a few people who rebuild the T56 so take it for what its worth.

^Got any pics of what it looks like in your car? Now I'm just debating between the pro 5.0 and the mgw. Also I have an slp **** with the H on it, will it screw onto the mgw handle?

Exactly..if you **** up the way the Stops are in the T56 then you have some major problems..lol

Chris..go to tickperformance of thegearbox and look up that Bronze Shifter Bushing. Those of you that have installed them can agree with me that they make a world of difference.

I think you are missin a word..

Yes, you can put it in with the car in your Driveway. It goes where the stock plastic piece is in the Shifter Cup in the T56..remove the plastic and put the Bronze one in. I put a little dab of Tranny Fluid on it too when I install it..since it is a Bushing it needs to be free moving.

You can see it in this pic here..

It's simple.

Edit your sig too fool..

Cool. I guess I'll have to do that also. Yeah, I probably should edit it.
