Question Pro 5.0, or Hurst for your daily driver?

Okay, so I've searched and found a lot of good info on both of these but not really much reguarding their everyday use. I already have a brand new slp **** with the H on it and was kind of leaning towards it on a lous short stick and pro 5.0. On the other hand though, I think the hurst billet would look nice with the chrome handle and the white 6spd pattern ****. My car is nbm with two white stripes and tt2's so I kinda thought the chrome handle would be a nice touch to the wheels and the white **** would match the stripes, but I want something that I can drive everyday. What's your opinions on what you guys use as far as being comfortable putting a hundred miles a day though them. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I drove a friends with a pro 5.0, lous, and slp **** that was absoluetly amazing, but the shifter seemed really rough for everyday use. I was just looking for something smooth, but at the same time can be useful at the track. I like the pro 5.0, I'm just affraid it will get wore out putting so many miles through it every day.

Well if you like it, go with it, just slow smooth shifts is all you need.

be careful with a shortthrow, if you dont have your stops adjusted right it will overshift and tear up your synchros. i just made a "shortstick" similar to the one on ws6 store. its a more solid feeling, not sure if it improved my shift speed a whole lot but i like the feel better, might get creative with another one and do some bends or somethin.

If you saw how a T56 works that's pretty much impossible..

Ive got a MGW and I DD my car over 30 miles a day. Its simply amazing. Very smooth, great feedback and overall just a great product. Search my username in this forum and you will find a pretty huge thread with nothing but good remarks about the MGW. Nothing else competes with it IMHO and Ive driven everything EXCEPT the Billet Plus.

I have a Pro 5.0, and even when I used to DD my car it was a great shifter.

Very precise and tight, easy to find every gear, and a nice short throw. Whats not to like about it??

The centering action. Compared to the MGW its really weak and the fact that many 5.0 owners modify the centering springs or have to send it back to Pro 5.0 to have them rebuild it. If you truly like your 5.0 I suggest finding a guy who has one and test it out. Ive had 4 guys change from the 5.0 over to a MGW.

I have the Hurst Billet Plus with a Lou's Short Stick. Been my DD since new and have never had any issues with the shifter. After the LSS I removed some of the centering springs to reduce notchiness and help with the loss of leverage. I have absolutely No complaints.
