Default TR-6060 way to go

An auto pretty much becomes mandatory when you get over the 1000 rwtq mark. People have made T56s work, by adding an external oiling system, strongest gear sets, but you end up with a $6k manual that can still break. A $5k auto would handle the abuse for a long time. The next best option is the new TR-6060 which people have made work in F-bodies, but it's not exactly a plug-n-play operation. That tranny has already handled huge power (800+) in stock form and can be built up to handle even more. My builder hasn't heard of anybody actually breaking one yet.
