I had the same problem on my camaro and like you tried everything under the sun to keep the pedal from sticking.

What did work!!!!

Last year replaced master (GM), slave(GM), clutch(LS7), flywheel (LS2) (scoggin-dickey) and bled the **** out of it. I didnt use a mightyvac I cracked open the bleeder and bled bled bled.

I have not had the pedal stick on me again.

Ya Jakes it looks like thats the next step. I look at it this way once it's done I can get to modding the rest of my car and not worry about whats going on in the trans.

*Update*04/05/2010: Finally got the trans outta the car and was shocked at what I found. My pilot bearing that goes on the end of the input shaft is disintegrated and the PP has more hots spots that my EX-wife has STDS. There was also quite a bit of trans fluid in the bell housing itself which tells me this problem has been here for quite sometime. I am having my trans guy come over and take a look at it today to see if they are going to need to go through the trans or if I can just replace the Slave, Pilot, Clutch, PP.

Here are some pics of the damage.

04/12/2010: OK major update. The input shaft of the trans is needs replacing as well as the bearing on the inside of the trans. This bearing crapped out causing the input shaft to "wiggle" which in turn smoked the pilot bearing which ruined the clutch, PP, and flywheel. I have a 12 month warranty on the car and since I just bought it I assumed this would be covered. Well the warranty guy came and told me it wasn't covered because the pilot went bad and it's not a internally lubricated part. Warranty companies are notorious for trying to **** you outta coverage so I called and raised hell telling them to prove the pilot went out before the internal bearing. After 4 days they finally broke and said they would cover it. Now time to decide on a clutch I am thinking of doing the LS7 as a replacement. Should be finished by later this week.

Pure hell man. Good to see you stuck with it and got it solved and most of all covered big kudos to you for that. LS7 is a great street clutch. A bit heavy to spin but otherwise its the best street clutch out there as far as Im concerned and its tough as nails. Get it done and go burn some rubber you sure deserve it LOL

i replaced everything in mine, the thing that fix it the best has the slave shim.
i thought you newbs knew how to fix this already...
of all the things i did to fix it that work the best, but not sure that would completely get it with all my power.

You did replace the hydraulics with a Tick unit, correct? That solved my problem. Finally got my clutch broke in, and various other maintenance done I so could go WOT w/out blowing up my motor. Retained full pedal pressure. Startled me a little bit considering I haven't been able to go WOT past 2nd gear without the hydraulics locking up since I have gone H/C.

Yes I have the Tick M/C installed. I can't wait to finally drive this thing the way it was meant to be driven!

It is a whole new animal knowing your pedal won't stick to the floor! I have been having this problem since I bought it, over a year ago. Haven't been able to drive it like it should be, whole new animal.

04/16/2010: Well it's all done! Installed the LS7 clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, slave, and bearings. Took it out for a spin about an hour ago and the problem has been FIXED!!!! Good lord it's amazing to drive this car without fear of shifting.

So after all is said and done this is what it took.

1. Tick M/C
2 Slave
3. LS7 Clutch
4. Flywheel
5. Pressure Plate
6. A lot of swearing and phone calls.

I'll do a much more detailed final post tonight but for now I wanna go drive my car!

Glad you got it figured out. Mine started to stick at 30K miles right after I went to H/C and swapped the clutch fluid. I put in a tick and it mostly cured the sticking pedal but now my clutch is slipping in 4th and sometimes 3rd at high rpms. McLeod twin disk, billet steel flywheel, GM slave, and new bearing are on the way!
