Default What shifter is this? Can I fix it? Missing spring/caps

So I drove my friends camaro, and noticed his shifter centered a LOT better than mine, and his car went into reverse a lot easier than mine does (my clutch isn't that old so don't think thats the problem, especially since 1st gear goes in easy)

Here are some pics, one side (the 1st gear side) had a screw and a spring
The reverse side had a spring and a smaller spring inside of it

Is there a way to fix it, any idea what kinds of replacement springs/caps I can use?

Or am I better off just getting a new shifter? Thanks !

I think the OEM-installed Hurst was just like that, with a bent attachment stick. That one does not appear to be bent; I believe it's an aftermarket non-adjustable Hurst.

On another note, when I had a Hurst Comp-Plus for a T5, I put the chrome stick in a vice to bend it. just above the attachment bolts. I didn't want to space it like your buddy's appears to be, because the handle stick is vertically serrated to match the shifter attachment stick. That's a feature the Pro 5.0, OEM Hurst and others for the T56 are lacking.

Judging by the aluminum foil, it would be made by Jiffy Pop.
