Monster Level 3 Disk Size??? Need answer quick
I'm in the middle of installing my Clutch, and of course its a sunday so i cant get ahold of anyone.
If someone could answer this questions i'll be so happy, if not i guess i'll have to wait till tomorrow.
2000 Z28 Camaro
Monster Level 3
Question is. What diameter should the clutch disk be? THe pressureplate i got from monster measures 12" approximately, but the clutch disk is only about 11" in diameter. Doesnt seem correct to me because the factory clutch was much closer between the two.
Heres a picture of what i'm talking about:
SOmeone please help.

I'm sure its fine. But with the numerous hours i have into this project thus far, i dont really want it to be a mistake like someone packaged it incorrectly, and then have to take it back apart.

FWIW, it was not the correct clutch disk. There is a 10 3/4" and a 11 1/2". I was supposed to recieve the 11 1/2" disk with the 12" pressure plate for the Fbody but i recieved the 10 3/4". So if anyone sees this, measure your clutch disk.
Luckily Monster has some great customer service, and Steve is supposed to overnight me the correct disk, so that i can get this car back together finally.

Recieved the new clutch disk, and unfortunately it was damaged. One of the friction pads is beggining to seperate in the corner. Steve said he's sending another. Hoping it gets here today, i'd like to get my car back together.
I wasnt mad at first, but as time goes on, i'm getting more and more upset, and if i cant get my car back together this weekend, i'll be very upset.
I've had great experience in dealing with Steve thus far, but i need a clutch, not someone to talk to in emails.

Well after somewhat of a clusterfuck with the disks, and 2 weeks i finally got the car back together, and most of the little bugs worked out.
Very happy so far with the setup. It grips like crazy. Half throttle yesterday in second and i was sliding sideways out onto the main rd, trying to make a left quickly due to traffic.
I'm sure i'll be writing a thread soon about my whining rear end, and How to install a new one. It grips that well.
It chatters a bit right now, but i guess that is expected for the first 500 miles. It's already better than the first time i drove it, and it only has 70 miles on it.
