Default pilot bearing question

I have removed quite a few pilot bearings since i have been working on cars, but mine on my 2000 ls1 camaro is stubborn as all hell. It does not want to come out. I tried one of those hideaway slide hammers, a pilot bearing tool they have at advance auto and it does not want to come out. Any tips???? I mean i guess I could try to get the big slide hammer to work but I heard the tips wont fit through my pilot bearing.

You can try the big slide hammer, but you'll probably disassemble the bearing in the process...not that that's necessarily a bad thing. Then you can cut the outer race with a Dremel tool.

You might also try to tap it a little further in just to get it broken loose.

I dont know how good of an idea this is, but has any one tried holding a compressed air can upside down so the co2 cools the bearing down to shrink it? I read that one one of the boards but dont know how good of an idea that it.

I prefer the puller style instead of the slide hammer style.
Look up: SK Tool 92522 Pilot Bearing Puller
