Default Cheapo ebay shifters.

I probably know the answer to this question, but I was wondering about those ebay cheapo shifters. Are they any good? I'm doing my t56 swap soon and don't want to use a factory shifter.

Good question. My stocker literally came appart. Stick came out of hole, hellava anti theft LOL

Were you looking at the shorter stick or the one that changes the pivot point?

Not sure if this is legal but I'm quoting an ebay ad. This is what I was looking at.

I'd be ok with it. Kind of hard to mess up a shifter like that. Unless you're hercules, and have terrible syncros, you wont hurt anything.

A short throw actually puts LESS leverage on your trans parts. Good for your trans, bad for your traps and tri's haha

I was just thinking with a 20 price tag it probably would suck. But I guess maybe not. They don't seem to be made of much so I can't see why they charge 200 bucks for them.

They suck. I had one that I bought, just because it was cheap, and decided to throw it in, after I sold my SLP short throw and was waiting on my Hurst Billet/Plus, in my Camaro. It was real sloppy feeling, and I'm fairly sure it was almost a longer throw than the stocker. In 1st and 3rd, the shift **** was extremely close to the CD player. I actually punched the CD player once hitting 3rd. lol. I would advise not buying one. Not worth the hassle of changing it out.

How about this one?

Not exactly a shorter throw. But something I can use to replace my broken stocker. I dont see this one being a problem because it uses the stock base. Any inpput?

^^^ those are very popular on here. I actually have that exact stick on my stock Hurst shifter, but I don't have a 6 speed yet haha. search the TNA short stick, Lou's short stick, WS6 store short stick, etc. on here. almost everyone loves them.
