Default Best/shortest short throw shifter?

What do you guys think is the best and shortest short throw that would fit a 98-02 T-56 6-speed tranny for an F-body? What about a cool after market shift **** to go with it? Thanks guys for you input.

lol, yeah, a search is your friend.

I'm happy with MGW, otherwise Pro 5.0 gets recommended a lot.

It seems to be a personal preference. I have the factory Hurst with a short stick and its good for what it cost.

That's what I have. I love it although I have never used anything else so I don't have anything to compare it to.

I have a Pro 5.0. Its good. Better than the stock Hurst.

I had a Lous short stick on it, and hated it. Harder to get into gear cause the short stick doesnt give you any leverage.

My opinion, short sticks are a waste of money on Fbodies. The t-56 is to notchy.

Now on a mustang, they shift like butter, (at least in my experience) i think it makes sense.

Do a search, you'll get more opinions than you care to read. Consensus is, (mgw=Pro5.0)>stock hurst>stock tremec pos

Check out the MGW. I have tried every other shifter, and in my opinion this is by far is the shortest, smoothest, and least notchy of the shifters. Price isn't cheap, but what you pay for is what you get. MGW FTW!!!

I love my MGW. I put a white hurst shifter ball on it. I think it looks really good. Here are a couple pics.

Ive driven stock non-hurst, hurst, hurst/WS.6 Store 6" stick, B&M Ripper, Pro 5.0, and Pro 5.0 with Lous Short stick. Out of all of them, i was really happy with both the hurst/short stick, and both Pro 5.0s.. I think they are all very effective, but it comes down to personal preference really.

Had a Pro 5.0 and now MGW. Personally I like MGW alot more. Build quality on the MGW is awesome.
