Default ranger clutch care writeup

Quick question, when sucking out the old fluid and putting the new fluid in the compartment, do you keep the cap and diaphragm off when pumping the new fluid threw or put them both back on then pump 30 times?

also wanted to add if I were to bleed the clutch, when im opening the bleeder screw and pressing the clutch then closing and coming up, do we leave the cap off, but making sure the compartment is full?

always have the cap on and always clean around it before removing it. brake fluid absorbs water easily and a cheap dot4 to buy is Valvoline dot3and4 its the best for the money.

you have to leave the cap off to keep an eye on the fluid level. if you suck air into the system you will have a whole new set of problems on your hands.

I bought one this weekend just for this purpose! $65 for the metal version with all the bells and whistles from Steve's Wholesale Tools. Not sure if thats a good deal or not but thats the only place around here that had one. Cant wait to use it!
