how much can the t56 handle?

Default how much can the t56 handle?

I have the 6 speed on a 2000 camaro and was curious how much power i can safely put thru it with out having to rebuild and strengthin up the internals? thanks guys

It depends how you drive and how well you keep it maintained. You could probably do 550whp if you don't power shift.

I asked this before too and everyone said it will all depend on how you treat it. Someone also stated that the T56 is rated at like 450 ft lbs.

On spray 575 ft lbs no problems, but I only spray from a roll.

I think it also depends on what rear end gear you are using.

i would only spray at a roll and i have the moser 12 bolt with 3:73
