Default 8.1 BBC LS1 trans swap info

Lil Background
2004 silverado
swapped 4.3 to an 8.1
been using the 5 speed for awhile now.
Ordered a tick performance 6 spd
Ordered a kiesler shifter relocation which I hope will put the shifter near the stock truck location.
Going to order a Quicktime Bellhousing
Mcleod Dual disc
new slave and reuse factory master.

If i remember correctly there is 2 differnt style ls slaves...
Which one is better and why?
I also vaguely remember something about drilling out the line to the slave for better response. I dont know if the truck has the same problem but i plan on checking. It is the line coming out of the master cylinder correct?

Any info or help would be great thanks

For the type of build, I wouldn't settle for anything less than a new Tick MC with their stainless line. More flow, better shifts.
