t56 gear question I was hopeing that someone would have the knowledge to help me out here. Basically I am doing a rebuild on my t56 out of my 99 trans am. Here is a picture and hopefully it is clear enough for someone to help me. I need to know if the gear needs to be replaced mainly the one on the right.

That is the 1-2 synchro and gears. I would replace the one on the right (2nd gear). You should look at the synchro ring on that side to see if the teeth are rounded off.
