its jerico's own case design but formatted in a top loaded configuration simply for ease of maintenance. they also do 5 speeds. G-FORCE has some modded 6 speeds i do know that, cant remember pricing though.

I emailed them never got a reply, 90 percent of the places i emailed either didnt build one strong enough or just simply dont reply to emails. I am in the military so I cant just pick up the phone.

I have one of the last faceplated trans to come out of 6 speeds inc. before they closed down. They had a special going on and I opted to assemble myself. Cost for a viper output upgrade, replacement of 5&6 gearset with synchro assem, faceplate of my 1,2,3,&4 gears, bronze pads,ALL of the bearings, liberty slider assem. for 1-2 and 3-4, was about $1600+ shipping. I had to hone each faceplated gear myself for fit, install the bearings, and assemble the trans. They allowed me $100 for my output shaft as a trade in I think. Trans has about 10k on it now.

Quick Time just did a recent G-Force 4sp swap in their fbody. I haven't heard any updates lately but the custom geared and V-gate shifted 4sp supposedly ran quite a bit quicker than the 6sp.

Is this a race car only thing? I mean yeah a 4 speed with a smaller case would be lighter, and who needs 6 gears at the track unless you have a really narrow power band

Ya it's a race car thing, if I didn't enjoy the hell out of driving my car all over the place it would have a 4 spd trans, but I like to drive it on the hwy alot so the double overdrive stays for now.
