I need to change mine too. A mechanic friend told me redline is the best. Is this so? Just curious.

they dont sell that anymore, you can buy dex/mercon on a big jug.

yes, but I would put in either mobil 1 ATF or pennzoil syncromesh.

A friend of mine used all 4 or 5 different kinds on his t56 and told me that Mobil 1 had the smoothest shifts so that's what i put into mine after the rebuild.

I just e-mailed Tick Performance about what to put in my Viper T56, and they responded any brand Dexron III is fine, and that there is no advantage to using Dexron VI.

Right now I just have cheap Advance Auto Dexron III in and may just stick with that for the break in refill.
