Do you think a T5 would hold up to the power your 6.0 would be putting down? My knowledge is limited when it comes to the T5, but I think you would be better off opting for a T56. Much stronger, better aftermarket support as well.

a WC T5 is rated at 300ft/lb and a NONWC is 250ft/lbs... A T56 is rated at 450ft/lbs, so being people grenade a stock T56 behind stock LS1 motors and stock 305 TPI can grenade a T5. Why would you want to use that transmission that would shatter behind even a 4.8, save money and use a T56 or TKO if you want a manual.

oifish and N20suki have very valid points t-5's cannot handle alot of torque i've already broken one on my t-5 but i would still like to know if this can be done i have a t-5 now and cant really afford a t 56 and would like to keep it atleast to drive the car while i save up for the t56 can it be done? on a 5.3
