you just got prostars and ET streets but dont have money for a TQ Arm relocation brascket? i would say thats your cheapest and best bet, if your concerned about it. relocation bracket is cheaper than a new tailshaft housing if you break it

At my lovely track they do not put enough water down and my 26" slicks wheel hopped BADLY and on 2 different occasions busted a 600+ Dollar Tru Trac Differential.
I have not broken a Trans Tailshaft yet, but recently installed a TQ arm relocation cross member. BMR makes specific reference in their TQ arm section that you can break these things running into the 10's (10.99 or quicker) IMO its about the "hit". Which is a Force applied at launch and race weight factors in greatly too.

I hear yea, but think about this what does the TQ attatch to? and what does the rear end do? Basically move up and down and twist on the factory clamshell bracket and if you have a aftermarket TQ arm, its stronger then stock and does not break as easily and ultimately can break off the tail shaft.
Stock TQ arms will grenade or bust out of the clam shell well before breaking the case. BUT with a aftermarket arm, its in a tube and not 2 peice like stock.
