Default Built T56 Disaster! Help

So I ordered a Lvl 5 T-56 w/Viper Mainshaft from RPM Transmissions. Brand new Monster Stg 3 w/Tick Master. So after I installed everything bled out the lines etc. Everything was done now it was time to adjust the MC. Put the B&M shifter on and it woundn't go into 1st/2nd/3rd/5th gear! The stick wouldn't go all the way to the left where 1st and 2nd is. The neutral play didn't feel normal also. Is it possible that two of the sensors on on backwards? Even while the car is off it still won't go into gear. Or was it not put back together right? RPM says they check the transmission before they ship it off. HELP! Need input thanks!

Have you tried adjusting the B&M shifter set screws? If you have a stock shifter then put that in and try it. Also make sure that the clutch is bled.

IMHO, RPM wouldn't let a transmission out the door with a problem like that..

You have the nylon shifter cup in there?

I adjusted the set screws on the shifter and still no go. Don't have the stock shifter so can't try that and I have the bronze shifter bushing. The clutch is bled real good, a lot of pressure and is tight with a steddy stream while bleeding. They mentioned there is a possibility that two of the sensors are switched? I still don't see how that would affect it even while the car is off.

Switch the sensor connections or solenoids and retest. One is normally-open, and the other normally-closed. You may be engaging your CAGS? Typically the CAGS is white connector on the solenoid, and the Rev-lockout is a black solenoid connector.

This might not be your problem, but a friend of mine installed his shifter backwards on the trans and had the same symptoms you mention in your post. Try unbolting and turning the shifter assembly around 180 degrees and see if that fixes the problem.

This is very hard to do with a t56
