Mike,
This thread is some of the most useful tech I've seen on the T56, eventhough mine is in a Mustang trackcar, HPDE and autocross it works for me. I have a T56 in pieces at the moment but with your links to the pics and other info this one will be a little easier than the first one, nice work. When was the last time you were at the Glenn?

Greg

I know, one post in 5 years, I read a lot

Any any of the "GTO" builds pictured in:

may help you out with the triple/double cone builds..

The #38 & #26 connect the mainshaft to the double-cone synchros. They are not present in the triples.

#179 ??? You mean #171? That's not used in the triple/double units.

The #115 spacer is a thin metal ring that protects the needle bearing from getting chewed up on the snapring.. It should still be needed/present.

#108 is not used in the 5-6 double cone setups.. The 6th gears have extended flanges in this setup that don't require the spacer.

The Rev idler spacers come in twos, single, and sometimes none at all.. If you don't have any, it may not be a problem..

LOL.. You could have just PM'd me... ;-)

I was at the glen 5 times from 2003-2005 (It's a 6hr one-way drive) and I never got a dry lap in... I love the track, but I had to stop going since it's just not fun for me paying $1200 for a weekend of driving in the rain...

I went up last year but it wasn't in the budget this year, might still try to get to NJMS in NJ with one of the open track sessions this year. Summit Point is another but a long drive for me almost 8 hours.
