Default t56 and ls in to box bodystyle s-10

I need some suggestions and ideas as to what I will need and need to do my swap. The truck is a 2wd regular cab 4cyl 5spd.
My main question is, will the stock master cylinder from the s10 work the slave cylinder for t56?
And any other suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Considering the F body master cylinder doesn't do a very good job of it, I would guess the one in your truck will do a worse job given the pressure plate pressure is probably less on the 4 banger. I would just expect to go with an after market adjustable master cylinder personally.

Measure the bore and pedal stroke to the F-body master cylinder.

There are a few features of earlier and later trucks that make certain models easier to work with. A lot of engine mounts work by bolting to the 2.8L V6 frame mounts.
