I've verified that the slave is in fact pushing in on the pressure plate because I removed the lower bell housing and can visually see it pushing on the pressure plate fingers. However, the slave is making a loud squeaking noise when it was being pushed in and released. It was loud enough to the point where I wanted to spray some WD-40 on there but didnt. What could be causing this squeaking?

 

mine squeaks whenever I bleed it, but once I start it for the first time it goes away
