Transmission problems, do I need a rebuild? A few thousand miles ago my transmission started acting up. It grinds bad when I downshift to third, and sometimes upshifting to third as well. It also pops out of third occasionally. Also, sometimes 2nd and 4th grind a bit. With the car idle, I can hear rattling coming from the transmission, but when I push the clutch all the way in it gets quiet. Are my syncros shot? Or could it be something with my clutch not disengaging all the way? Thanks in advance.
