Upgrading a good clutch?

Ive got a 20k miles stock ls6 clutch in my car Im around 400rwhp and the clutch hasn't started slipping yet. I was planning on upgrading to a diamond stage 2 this winter because at this power level I assumed it would start to slip sometime soon. Is it stupid to upgrade before it fails or do some people have good luck with the ls6 at this power level. I just wanna make sure its needed before spending all this money what do you guys think?

If you guys think it could last a while I might just roll with it and try to build an 8.8 swap instead.

depends really on how you drive it........unless you're going to see alot of track use, i'd stick with it......IMO that'll give you plenty of time to research the diamond stg2 and it's competitors further, and start on your 8.8
