Well they claim a factory flat flywheel will work fine. I called a supplier today and they said the RXT discs were on backorder till the end of the month.

We've used alot of the RXT's from street cars ,road race to drag. Not 1 failure yet. Very streetable. All the cars run the factory master too.The PP is light enough to not affect the master.

A LS1/LS6 flat style flywheel will work as well as our Billet Steel or Aluminum flywheels P/N 460530 & 560530 respectively.

I would like to run the RST if I can get away with it safely. Based on the power it can handle this shouldn't be an issue.

My car will be a procharged car, 520ish rwhp and probably around the same amount of torque. It is a full weight street car that mainly sees just cruising and a limited amount of track time. I might go to the track 2-3 times per year with friends and I dont have DR's so I just "street" launch it for now because it just blows the tires off if I do anything but.

All of that being said I am interested in getting some DR's so can a RST handle some DR's launches a couple dozen runs a year and be good for street driving?

If I could save some money by going with the RST I would like to do that. It doesn't make it much more money than some of the single disc units I have been looking into. I have heard it isn't good to use the stock flywheel, I have about 25,000 miles on the stock unit so can it be used and would I need to have it resurfaced? What are the benefits of using the steel billet over the stock flywheel?

Post 27, what do you think Billy? There are some sales going on so if this clutch would work well for me, the RST, I would like to get it ordered this week.

The RST will hold up if it's primary a street driven vehicle with a true radial tire. If your going to a DR and hanging out at the track on the weekends, I would say the RXT is the way to go.

After much research and the results of happy customers in this thread I just ordered the RST and billet steel flywheel today. It will be used in my upcoming procharger build. I hope I like this clutch as much as others do.

I'm sure you will. Just make sure to do a proper break in of 500 miles of stop and go driving and alternate RPM as musch as possible. NO DYNO TUNING OR DRAG RACING for the first 500 miles.

I will do a proper break in based on your directions. I will have a couple hundred mile drive back from my tuners shop though that is mainly highway miles. Is that OK if the other 300 miles is more city drive modes with many different rpms and a high quantity of shifts? Or do I need to find a more stop and go route back home from my tuner?

Highway miles are not considered break-in miles.

I understand they are not considered break in miles I want to make sure that it is ok to have prolonged highway miles after install. If not I will need to find a more stop and go route to drive back home from where I am putting the clutch in at.

sorry to jack the thread but I need to get my rxt rebuilt. What is the price for a rebuild? Also are there any good aftermarket slave cylinders? A thread I read lead me to believe that there are none except for the RAM Street Hydraulic Release Bearing but I dont think it will work with the rxt since it said that its for stock applications only. http://www.ramclutches.com/Products/...se_bearing.htm

McLeod offers a billet slave that will work with your clutch. Call Billy and he can give you the part numbers for slave, t56 collar, and line kit. http://mcleodracing.com/images_products/5324.jpg

I want to get some 1.3s on this guy

I've worked with the rams and some other twins, that have the floater plate that has slots to fit around standoffs on the plate. I think thats were they rattle, but I can see that holding up to WOT and decell. This McLeod has straps, so the floater plate doesn't rattle, but that means on decell and down shifts. There is a lot of force on the straps.
Anyone had a problem with that? I dont do a lot of stupid engine breaking or anything, but I like to heeltoe on some fun streets. And when roll racing.
