They are just a light press fit. Mine came out on their own...which subsequently led to an alignment issue and pilot bearing destruction. So make sure they go back in!
But if you grab em with pliers, or locking pliers, they should twist out. You might have to clean up the burrs you make with some emry paper or something after you put them back in.

I bought a used shortblock from a friend after trashing mine and they were removed along with the head dowels. My old head dowels came out easily but these for the bellhousing are IN THERE
