Default Quick disconnect fitting on Slave cylinder

How in the hell do you get this off. It says to use 2 flat screwdrivers to push in a white ring. I don't see a white wring. The whole assembly looks brass. Anyone know how to do this. I'm using the install university walkthrough if that helps.

Thanks, I went out there and checked again and I noticed that the middle connector attached to the braided hose pushes in but will not come out.

Problem is. I don't see a plastic piece. Just a brass outer piece and the inner piece with the braided hose attached. Does the outer brass piece move like an air nozzle quick release? I can push the nozzle piece in with the braided hose attached but it doesn't come out.

Is this the plastic piece. If so, how the hell do I get to it. No screwdriver will go between those two brass pieces???

Thanks but I can't see it and I can't get any screwdriver between the two brass pieces. I'm really getting kind of frustrated. I might need to stop before I take a hammer to it.

I forgot to mention. My slave isn't broken yet. I was bleeding my clutch and figured I'd try to do the drill mod.

It is kind of funny that we are all doing similar work though. This connector is pissing me off though. Aargh!

It's not That hard
in the picture that was posted , its the lightest colored piece on the left side part.
You have to get something , LIke I said already.
I use full size needle nose plyers, get on both sides of that brass piece abd push that plastic piece toward the tranny.
at the same time you need to wiggle and pull the hose out of the tranny.
I don't think I can really explain it any better.
Sorry.

Thanks everyone but I still could not get it. I tried everything. I'm beginning to think that the connector on my car isn't the normal one. I can't see the platic piece and I can't get it to move. I can only push the center nozzle piece in. I even tried using sheet metal like a fuel line disconnector tool. Didn't work. In all my years I've never had this many problems with a simple connector. Ug!

What center nozzle piece? If you cannot see the white plastic ring, it maybe in the disconnected position already, or not there!

The male part of the connection is what I'm talking about when saying nozzle. The part connected to the braided line. The connection is pressure tight and my clutch works so I know something has to be in there. I'll try again Sunday. Thanks.
