Default Hydraulic issues now.

I think I have a leak in my master. Car drives fine until I get on it. If I get on it hard in 2nd or 3rd the pedal gets real mushy after I shift. In fact if in second it might just go all the way to the floor. When bleeding I noticed I was pulling air into the system. My guess is a leak on either 1 of the 2 lines going to the master or the plunger and when I shift and the clutch is hot. It's allowing air in displacing the fluid. Damnit! I'm going to take the master out this weekend and pressure test it. I'm not sure but bleeding it backwards (through the reservoir) might mess with the seals on the master. Anyone else have any similar problems or ideas?

At least I know how to get the master out quickly now. Problem is it will be $250 if it's bad.

Stock MC that came with the 2002's. Today on the way to work I downshifted to 3rd (always match the rpm's) on the highway to pass someone and the damn pedal went almost all the way to the floor. Was able to shift from 4rth to 5th but had to pump the clutch back to normal. This is getting annoying. No slipping. No leaks, bled all the air... Has to be an air leak in the MC. At least I hope so.

If you're not seeing fluid, I seriously doubt the leak.

You MUST do the drill mod for the clutch to come close to working properly. No, it's not "optional" on 01-02 hydraulics.

Drill mod it. Bleed it using the JMDŽ method. Diagnose from there.

I've already done the drill mod when I took it out the first time. After messing with it this morning I did notice a minute amount of fluid dripping down from around where the master cylinder is when pumping the clutch. I'm going to take it out and pressure test it today.
