There are differences and similarities between the 2 clutches and even others. Anyone could say that one clutch is a copy of another and one is superior, etc, etc. blah. The one thing that Monster, Diamond, and Text all have in common is that they offer some of the very few 12in clutch setups. Monster does have some 11in options, but Diamond does not. It's been my conclusion that 12in is the only way to go. Also another difference is that Monster uses 1045 steel on the flywheel and Diamond uses 4140 alloy.

Anyway, there's not even going to be so much as a hoof left over, since this dead horse has taken such a beating. lol

That's a bit generic...

Has your buddy called us to get the issue rectified? What's his name?

I strive to provide excellent customer service, our units are backed by an outstanding warranty. Surely your friend has called us if he's having issues, I can't imagine that not being the case.

Either way, get me his information or have him call me and I'll go over his issues so we can get him taken care of. Everyone has had issues with someone's clutch, it's how that manufacturer takes care of them that sets them apart.

Hate these threads that pit 2 sponsors against each other for no good reason. Reminds me of the Strano / BMR bitch fests. For the record I have never read 1 bad post about a diamond cluth or TDP in general. That being said I have a Monster stg3 and Tick MC in my car, excellent customer service and a free Tshirt . Steve was nothing but helpful and the shop I had install it who I will not bring into this thread said it was the first Monster clutch kit they had installed and were so impressed with the kit they will be recomending it from now on.

Default Diamond

I'd go with Diamond cause I did some research of my own and Diamond is cheaper, lighter, and better quality......I also heard from multiple ppl (that don't even know each other) that the guy that made Monster use to share a shop with Jason from TDP and would sell Diamond clutches for Jason. Then he copied Diamond clutch and started making Monster clutches. But he didn't have the right connections so he couldn't get the same quality stuff for the same price so he started using a cheaper/heavier flywheel.

wow....
So you sign up on the site and your first post is to find an old thread to say you did some "research" which consists of you just searching for what you say "multiple people" said. You have had no experience with a Monster clutch yourself so I love that you assume what you read on the INTERNET is 100% true. Please do NOT comment on anything you don't have any experience with yourself!
FYI, I heard Diamond clutches were made with actual diamonds so that is why they are far better than any other clutch ever!! After all, diamonds last forever right????

You should really not trust your sources at all. You can clearly see that the owner of TDP above has reiterated that we, meaning me the owner of Monster Clutch Co and him the owner of Diamond haven't copied anything from each other. Jason and I work together on a lot of things in his transmission shop, our clutches are completely a different topic and they don not share anything together at all.

As the guy below said, great first post. LOL

I normally don't post in threads like this. But I did want to give props to Jason and Steve for keeping it professional.

I'm sure monster makes a great clutch and with how many they sell of course thier going to have a few negative reviews.
That said I waited for along time for monster to release thier twin disc set up that never happened so i decided to give a diamond stage 2 a shot. Only been in a year but its holding against 550/509 with out any problems.

Monster has great customer service, I am on my second Level 3 and it really wasnt any decision making going on.

I must say that customer service wins me over, product must be great also. I just chose some BMR stuff over Strano for the fact that Strano wasnt pleasant to talk to on the phone, pretty much lost my $1500 order.

This thread has been an interesting read. Both companies are great. I have talked to both owners and their service and knowledge has helped me in different ways.

Overall i have been very happy with my monster and their customer service especially after helping me with a install error with 24k on the clutch when it was in no way their responsibility.

I am running a Monster Stage 2 and lightweight flywheel, with right at about a year of daily driving and lots of hauling *** on it. I wanted a full face disc, and I love this clutch. I just finished installing a Monster Stage 3 in my buddys 06 GTO and I was extremely impressed with how smooth the first drive was! I have talked to Monster on the phone a few times and was pleased with their service. I wrote a review on here and they sent me a Monster tshirt. I wear it to a lot of car shows.

For what its worth, just a year ago I bought this clutch Diamond was nothing was familiar with. I had only HEARD of them, but never anything major or about the quality of the clutches. I had already seen Monster everywhere, so I admit Monster's advertising is what got me. They're doing it right. Other clutch companies should take note.

Btw, here's my review thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...-customer.html

Jason is an awesome guy to do business with and if you ever met him you would see his true passion is for clutches. You cant go wrong with either clutch I've just done business with Jason and his shop and have a lot of respect for them

Very proud that two of the best clutch companies in the business come from the state of Texas!

I don't know your specific issue, but I can vouch there is no way Monster just wrote you off. Especially if you just bought it, they have by far the best customer service I have seen. Now if you contacted them and its obvious you did something wrong, they have a right to say sorry guy. Nobody could survive in this business if they covered every single issue from the consumer when its obviously no fault to Monster. They do provide instructions with their kits and state if there are any questions about the install to call them!

surprising to see another new guy with one post bashing monster.
