You're gonna get a lot of people saying MGW, i personally haven't had a chance to play with that so i can't attest to it. But i know before the MGW came around, the Pro 5.0 was regarded as the best shifter around, and thats what I've got (with the UMI short stick) i really don't have any complaints on it at all.

I have the OEM Hurst shifter and like it. I bought it from zchris on ebay. It's made in the USA unlike the Hurst Billet Plus shifter which is made in china.

Pro 5.0 is pretty nice. I have an MGW and can tell you that if you are looking for a super smooth, little effort type of shifted, that may not be the way to go. I love mine and it is quiet and has a very short throw but it does require some effort to shift and is a little notchy in my opinion. A nice easy to use shifted would be a hurst factory style. Maybe their billet plus? Haven't tried one. I also haven't tried the B&M ripper but a lot of people like them. Get as many opinions as you can and if possible, drive as many cars with different shifters as possible before buying. Just my $.02

I've had the MGW and the B and M and I like the MGW but it is stiff and somewhat notchy. Reverse is a bitch at times but overall a great shifter. Takes a little more effort during normal driving but nothing major. I hated the B and M. Its a taller shifter. I haven't had a 6 speed Pro 5.0 but I had one in a T5 and I liked it.

I have a MGW and Love it. It was notchy at first but after awhile it loosens up and have never missed third since it was installed. My friend had a B&M ripper shifter and after he drove my car upgraded to a MGW.
