T56 rebuild questions
I'm hoping there is somebody that will have the knowledge to answer some of my questions for me. I have a T56 that I plan on having a "Level 2" rebuild performed by tickperformance. I'm concerned about being charged extra for replacing damaged parts which aren't covered in the Level 2 rebuild. Can anybody tell me if the rebuild would cover everything needed for my T56 to be back in service?
My T56 has a few problems:
it won't go into 5th gear (just grinds),
it will go into 6th gear but won't come out of gear (the shifter moves out of 6th, but the trans stays in 6th),
reverse will pop out of gear if reversing up an inclined hill,
1 through 4 all slightly grind when cold or when shifting fast.
This is what the Level 2 rebuild covers:
Bronze 1-4 Fork Pads
OEM 5-6 & Reverse Fork Pads
Billet 3-4 Synchronizer Keys (with upgraded springs)
New OEM 1-2, 5-6 & Reverse Keys & Springs
Carbon Fiber Synchronizer (blocker) Rings
Steel 3-4 Shift Fork
New Front Seal
New Rear Seal
Cryogenic Treatment of All Transmission Internals
End-play set to our custom specifications

Chances are that "kit" won't cover everything. We do about 30 T56s every month, and maybe only one of those won't require any additional parts. I'd be prepared to spend another $300-600 to be on the safe side. For example, the Stg2 build that we do is $680, but that's just a starting price. The average build is around $1100 give or take a little. Best of luck to you.
