T56 vs. 4L60E Speed Sensors
Anyone know if the stock T56 speed sensor is able to read a 4L60E 40T reluctor wheel? The stock T56 wheel is 17T and has much thicker teeth. I put a 40T reluctor wheel into my T56 for the auto to 6-speed conversion. My speed is still WAY off and it's awfully jumpy. I spaced the sensor so it's the same distance from the 40T wheel as it was from the 17T wheel. It reads around 25mph at 70mph, and the error doesn't appear to be linear.
Basically I want to know if there is a design differene between the 4L60E and T56 speed sensors that allow them to read the different reluctor wheels. Physically, the two look way different.

Ok I think I answered my own question. I pulled the speed sensor out of my 4L60E and put it into the T56. I had to space it out a little bit so it wasn't hitting the reluctor wheel. The speedo is now reading more or less what is should. Except, it bounces around a lot above 25ish mph. It will bounce around +- 3-5mph.
Do I need to get the sensor as close to the reluctor wheel as possible, or is there an optimal spacing to shoot for? I searched on google and got no where.
Thanks!
