Default shift lever hitting boot frame

When I bought my car it had a billet hurst lever and ****, in 1-3-5 gears there's 2-3in from hitting boot frame, in 2-4-6, less then a cm, I can actually make contact with the frame if I put light pressure on it when its in those gears, is it suppose to be that close???

Oh and I've tryed turning the lever around and putting it on both side of shifter assembly and gets worse...

Lever is straight, no offset, chrome with hurst imprinted, ball is white with hurst written black on both sides and black gear numbers if that helps

Any ideas?

This is a normal condition, you can remedy it by replacing the hurst with another shifter or using a different length stick attached to your current base.

Unfortunately you would have to fab one up. I have not seen anyone that offers an adapter. I know that MGW has a customizable shifter (angles, height).

Most people just get a short-stick (lou's, ws6store...etc) because it changes the height and length of the throws to shorten the shift time.

Dnt waste your time... Buy a short stick from WS6Store... You can use your existing shifter ball on it... Looks better plus Shoter throws... Trust me... You will like it.
