Ive got an original Stage 5 in my t56 car- the t56 will come out for a max built 4L80 cause I didn't see a lot of promising T56 builds for high horsepower street cars.
I bought my Monster because I was told it would find the weak spots in my drive-train, and it did... If that still remains true... the question is... who builds a T56 that can handle the stage 2/3 twin from monster- and I don't need user resposnes, I want the vendors to say their Trans is gonna hold up behind this thing =D

I was told the twin would overheat and be nearly undriveable with the 18lb. It's just not enough MOI for a street car, and it would probably need a retune to even idle correctly.
That said, Steve also told me MOI on the twin with a 28lb is still going to be lower than the 11" Ceramic race with an 18lb flywheel.
IDK if this is the old style twin, or this current version. But here's a Monster twin revving:

I can vouch too. 650 miles so far and this clutch is amazing .
The pedal feels lighter than stock and the engagement nearer to the top is perfect for quick shifts.
It did have some chatter, but that promptly went away after some abuse.
I'm not sure if it was a slipping stock clutch, the low MOI of the twin, or both, but the butt dyno registered a nice gain from this mod.
Thanks Steve

Read the whole thread and didn't see this:
Is there any additional drivetrain loss over a stock setup? For example, the LS7 absorbs a bit of power. I also don't drag race, I do 3-4 road racing events a year. How does heat affect a twin disk setup over a single? I make about 410 at the wheels so I'm no where near the power limit but heat is also a killer. Thanks guys! I'll probably be ordering a stage one twin for my next clutch so I can install it with a Tick MC and just never have to drop the tranny again. You guys did make it look too pretty though, shame it gets hidden away.

Power is "absorbed" by the mass of the clutch. The LS7 Clutch is a tank compared to just about all other LS clutches in existence. A lighter clutch/flywheel will show more power on the dyno. When it comes to road racing a REALLY light clutch/flywheel is the way to go but you have to balance streetablility. The lvl 1 twin with 28lb flywheel is a really good combo. Lighter than stock. Definitely lighter than an LS7 clutch and holds a ton.

As Exidous said, reduced MOI increases power output but decreases drivability. There is a fine line in what works well on a street/race car and what doesn't. If you're looking at the twins/triples then get the 28lbs unit unless the car is pretty much a dedicated road race setup.

I had one of your stage 3 single discs in a c5 z06, it held 520 to the wheels no problem, But I found chatter awful, especially in stop and go, and taking off on a grade, it sounded like a gaggle of geese !
I am now in the process of uprading everything, including a tr 6060 transmission , and am having your twin disc level 2 installed.
How streetable will this be ? I hope it won`t be as noisy as my last setup Steve , I`m ok with a little chatter , but that was ridiculous
