What's the best way to Exchange to dot 4? Do I just buy a quart of dot 4 and run whole bottle thru system? Or is there a better way to make sure its got all the dot 3 out?

you can suck remaining fluid out of the resovior and top it iff and then bleed/flush the system - it needs to be done periodicly anyway. be forwarned its kind of a PITA to reach the bleeder 14mm medium length 1/4" drive -if you havent done this before and dont let the resovior run dry you will have to start over.

3, 4 and 5.1 are compatible. Only 5 is not. DO NOT use DOT 5 ever. I found out the hard way. It's just crap. The fluids will usually look a little different so just flush until you cannot see any of the old stuff or air coming out.
