Super T10 1/2, 3/4 interlock question

Long story short I've got a newly rebuilt T10 with Torque Lock sliders.
The problem I occasionally have is that when upshifting from 2nd gear to 3rd, it will not go into 3rd OR 4th. I have to shift back into 2nd then it will go into 3rd. The rods seem to be adjusted correctly and there's nothing interfereing with the linkage, so I'm suspecting the interlock mechanism on the inside of the T10 side cover. Also it only occurs after the car has been driven a while and warmed up.
Anyone run into any problems with the mechanism preventing engagement of 1/2 and 3/4? I know the sleeve, spring, pin, and ***** are in there, I tested before I put it on.

When you try to shift into 3rd and it won't go in 3 or 4, if you let out on the clutch is the trans in neutral or still in 2nd gear? I had an old shifter on a muncie that would do that every once in awhile, I'd pull it out of 2nd and the shifter would be in neutral but the trans was still barely in 2nd gear and I'd have to put it back in 2nd to free it up. I put a little offset into the shifter neutral gate instead of lining it up perfect with the shifter tool and that took care of it.

It's drfinitely out of 2nd gear and in neutral, I checked that. But I think you're on the right track. I'm thinking the slop in the shifter mechanism might leave the 1/2 arm a little far forward preventing engagement of 3/4.
Guess I'll try shortening the adjustment on the 1/2 rod and see if it goes away.
