Default Do I need a tick?

I just got my 00 C5 back from Lashway Motorsports where they bumped the rwhp up to 440. If I drive normally the stage 2 monster runs just fine. If I stay in gear the clutch holds strong and has never slipped. The issue is high rpm shifting. If I do a hard launch and try to 1-2 shift at the limiter it will not go into second. I was told that a TICK master would fix this. Any ideas?
Thanks,

does it ever grind while trying to shift quick or does it just not go in? being that have have a monster stage 2 its mot likely not the clutch. It sounds like you need a new master now i a tick necessary? No a tick m/c will probably get you down the road ok, but is a tick worth it? To me and most others it is lol you can have full adjust ability of the pedal and the shifts are so much quicker and smoother so yes i'd go ith that option lol

No grinding. It just doesnt go in. It has a new GM master. The clutch maybe has 4000 miles on it and we replaced the slave and master with new GM units at the same time. So it seems like my choices are. Keep it under 5000 or get the tick? Well its not a prius so no point in letting all that extra hp go to waste. Damn now I just need to find 300 bucks.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Baxsom you can call us Tuesday if you want and learn more about the master if you'd like, but these guys seem to have it covered already!

Just ordered mine yesterday. I'll do some testing when it gets here and post back.

Bouncing off 3rd is not something I want to do again. Very frustrating.
