are my synchros shot?
car: 2002 Z28 w/M6 transmission
so a little backstory:
i recently had my master cylinder replaced with a Tick adjustable & a new slave cylinder put in (about 4 - 5 months ago), a Tick speed bleeder installed, and a new Monster Level 2 clutch kit with the lightweight flywheel put in (about 2 months ago).
ever since the clutch kit was installed, it's been hard to get into gear (lately it's been impossible to get into reverse unless the engine is off), and sometimes shortly after starting the car, it's even been hard to get out of gear (usually reverse). sometimes i have to kill the engine to get it out of gear.
so out of necessity, i've driven it carefully like this since the clutch was put in, and i've done a full flush of the clutch system's fluid. after doing the flush, the pedal feels more consistent throughout its travel, but the gear engagements/disengagements are still a problem.
so this morning, i'm driving to work and pull up at a stop sign in the turn lane to make a left turn, and as i'm trying to get out of 3rd gear to go into first, the shifter won't budge either way to the side, only front/back, and the gears are grinding, even with the clutch pedal depressed.
i kill the engine to see if that will do it, but it still won't budge to either side. i started to try pushing the car to get it out of the road, but it's actually still in gear (at least partially, enough to keep it from moving easily). a co-workers pulls up and helps me to get it out of the road, but the shifter still won't budge.
after a few minutes of wiggling the shifter around, it finally comes free like nothing ever happened, and i was able to get it into neutral, and even into 1st & 2nd....didn't try any others, since 1st/2nd have been the least troublesome lately, and didn't want to go back into 3rd, which is where this problem started.
so i'm thinking it may be the synchros that are shot and keeping the shifter from moving like that, but wanted to post up and get some other opinions, since i'm just making a (semi) educated guess on it....i've never really gone into a manual transmission before, so i'm not very experienced with them, other than driving them.

You have clutch release issues and you have 3-4 synchro issues where the keys have been sheared due to synchro over-travel.
It needs a rebuild to address the 3-4. While it's out, the slave cylinder should be inspected for leaks and shimmed so clutch release works correctly. There's a sticky thread here re: shim.
