Default Input Shaft Chipped gear tooth

Hey, I am doing my first rebuild on my t56, and had a two questions.

As i was removing the race on the input shaft i found a chip on my input shaft gear. Please see attached pics of the chip. I wanted to know if this is salvageable or would i need to get a new input shaft?

Also I am trying to pull off the races in the t56 main case and tail section. Does anyone have have any safe way of pulling them out, my gear puller can't grab on to the edge.

Thanks All for the help.
