Mike at Rapid Motorsports is a LS1Tech sponser and installs lots of RAM clutches. Give him a call, he'll help you out. BTW, I just installed a mild RAM 980 and it doesn't chatter.

I bought a spec 3 clutch and it chattered HARD. Was told by spec that it will smooth out. 1500 miles later still chattering hard. Held nice but totally unstreetable. Called spec, they said I had too hard of a disk for street(bought the ceramic puck) They sent me a different type of disc (kevlar) for additional 100 bucks. resurfaced the flywheel (again) and 400 miles later, yep you guessed it, chatter, chatter, chatter. THREW the spec setup across the yard, bought a RAM setup, resurfaced flywheel again, went in and drives like butter. Installed a centerforce before spec, got two hard driven years out of it, so for me its RAM or Centerforce, maybe Mcleod, but never Spec. IMO it was a faulty pressure plate out of the box. Guys at the track have had chatter with spec too. Guess its a 50/50 chance with their stuff.

I replaced mine today with a stock one again and it's SO MUCH BETTER then a SPEC stage 3. the chatter is horrible and they crack and break into little pieces easily. Not a fan of the place that instlaled my first spec too i have picures to show the damage they did and not tell me about.
