Default car starts creeping with clutch depressed???!

so i recently bought a 98 t/a.
clutch and trans were replaced about 2 years ago, roughly 25k miles.
(i have receipts of the trans, clutch, etc so i know they were changed)

on to my problem
when sitting with the clutch depressed, in gear the car starts moving, and then wont come out of gear. its even worse in reverse. sometimes i have to shut the car off to get it to come out.
the car shifts through all gears fine, even at WOT.

im not sure if the p.o replaced the master and slave.
which is where i think my problem is. im just not sure which.
i plan on replacing the master here soon simply because i can do it for free and itll only take a couple hours to change, if that.

all feedback is greatly appreciated guys!
thanks

Look under the dash. The linkage from the master to the clutch pedal, does it have a large adjuster nut in it? If so, you have an adjustable master and may be able to adjust it further to solve your problem. Search the site for the Tick adjustable master, should be plenty of pics showing what I am talking about along with instructions on how to adjust it.

if you have the stock master then you need to bleed the system as it sounds like air is in the lines. if you have an adjustable master then adjust the rod out.... if theese dont fix it you could have a bad slave/master

it has the stock master

any tips for bleeding?
id rather not buy the mityvac, as funds are scarce right now, hence why i sold my camaro in the first place.

if after i bleed it, what do you think the problem is? slave or master?

The problem is that the clutch is not being fully released and the flywheel and pressure plate are dragging on the disk. The causes can be numerous. You can have air in the lines, a bad MC or bad TOB.

You should be able to rent a Mighty-Vac at most autoparts stores for a very reasonable price. I suggest bleeding from the top (reservoir) and bottom (bleeder valve) as this will be the most thorough way to get air out. If that doesn't help then you may be seeing bleed-by within the Master or Slave and this would mean that its time to replace the affected cylinder. Let me know if bleeding helps and if it doesn't I can help you assess the cylinders.

swapping out for a new master in tomorrow. we'll see if it works.
is it possible for it to be a clutch/pressure plate issue?
or is it definitely in the hydraulics?

if im loosing pressure through either the master or slave, would i be loosing fluid from the resivour under the hood???
