Drill mod or Spec Stage III?
I wasn't able to make a full pass because the clutch would get stuck to the floor and the car would NOT go into 4th gear. Running N/A it will get stuck to the floor, but not bad enough where it won't go into gear. I guess the extra 100whp is a little too much for it.
The clutch is fine a few seconds later, so its not a huge issue on the street. But I do like to make trips to the track so I'll have to do something. My question is this: Will the drill mod help enough to get me by? Or would it just delay the inevitable, or possibly not even help?
I sat in a car that had the Spec Stage III and it seemed pretty decent, not tough to push. Or would you possibly recommend a Stage II for daily driven use? Would it hold up ok?The car makes 430whp/550wtq on the spray.
Thanks,
Tim
Spec Stage 3 is a great clutch and i'd reccomend it for your application. With your 2000 you should upgrade the hydrolics to '01+. That will help with the sticking to the floor issue. However with the extra 200lb+ft from the spray, I doubt the stock clutch will hold up for very long, regardless of hydraulics. So my vote is to get the spec and upgrade the hydraulics all in one shot - might as well do it while you've got the trans apart.
get the balanced setup with flywheel , new hydrolics (master and slave) some 2000's have the old master some have the new. so you might luck out but dont know.
my belief is do it once do it right spend the little extra now and save the hassel .
some will say turn the flywheel . not for me though.
