clutch upgrade Hi all was wondering i have a customer wit a 04 gto who wants to upgrade the clutch. He has tuning,t-body and an intake done to car. He is looking to get a clutch kit but dosent know wat to get any help would be great. He wants to retain the stock feel also.

for the extra weight of a GTO id grab a Monster Level 1... feels alot like stock but more durable.... the GTO weighs a decent bit more than an fbody and quite a bit more than a vetter (LS7 clutch)

Ive got mine in a CTS-V, not a vette. My car actually weighs 75lb more than a GTO and CTS-V guys put these in all the time with no issues. A Z06 (which the LS7 clutch comes from) weighs in at about 3400lb I believe, not a whole lot less than a GTO at 3700 or so.

OPTIONS NEEDED ARE
gm flywheel and pressure plate bolts
it's an 04, probably high mileage, needs the gto slave cylinder option
steel billet flywheel
That's it.
While the LS7 clutch is also a good option, the flywheel is nodular iron, it is not a steel billet like the MONSTER and also considering the OCTOBER SALEFEST going on with the MONSTER, it's an easy choice.
