Default Any Harlan 2 Step Users?

I am very interested in getting this unit, but wanted a wider consensus before jumping in.

I spoke with one guy on here who loves it, yet I spoke to another rodder in my area who said his shift light messed up some of his electronics, and the tech assistance was non-existent.

Input wanted.

First one I bought from harlen didnt work right, after taking a while to get (expect a bit of a wait) I figured I wouldnt see another one for a while. I e-mailed him and the day after I got a response and he shipped out a new before I even sent the old one back. Its a pretty simple hookup, although the release/hold wiring explantion in the instructions are a little confusing, but correct..

Its a lot of fun if anything, it also takes one variable away from your launch with an M6 plus let me concentrate on the tree a little better.

Great, those are the comments I've been wanting to hear. Any of you seen a drop in your 60' time by getting dialed in and getting more consistent launches?

I know R/T will be better since you can watch the tree without trying to eyeball the tach.

Thanks guys

Once you get the suspension dialed in...it should leave the same every time.

I've pushed it as low as 1.47 60-foot

it averages in the 1.5x range now

Holy !

I got Nittos. Fat chance I'm going to be in that range. What's a good 60' for Nittos, 1.8's?

I have one.

I LOVE IT.

A 2-step is basically a second rev limiter.

You dial the wheels of the 2-step to the rev limit you want (in my case, 6500). My PCM limiter is set to 7500.

I pull up to the staging beams, and as soon as I light the second light, the clutch is pushed in and I push the button to activate the 2-step. On a Sportsman tree, as soon as I see the tree start to light, I floor the gas (hitting 6500). 3rd yellow, dump the clutch and hang on.

Allows for WOT launches, more consistent launches. Mine were in the 1.48 range last time I ran at a decent hooking track.

I've also got it wired in to the nitrous system so that it doesn't allow the nitrous to activate until the 2-step is disabled (which happens when the clutch pedal comes up).

The 2-step is to launching what a linelock is to burnouts.
