Default Clicking in gearbox area.....please help!

my ls1/t56 sat for about 2 months (gone a month for army training and dealing with prego wife). finally started her up and she was idling high, about 1500 rpm. but i am more concerned that after driving out of my neighborhood and finally getting into 3rd, i started hearing a clicking coming from the gearbox area. it sounded deeper (location, not pitch) when in neutral and closer to the shifter when in gear. i have a video but cant upload it from work so will have to wait until i get home tonight. i will also take another video of what it sounds like from outside the car.

i dont thinks its a tranny problem bc it makes the noise when not in motion or gear. im not the most car savvy guy so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the frequency of the noise increase with RPM?
