My 98 z28 has been sitting for about a year. The car has always had the 3rd and 4th grind and hard shift at high rpm and hard driving, and the shifter always felt like crap. It has a pro 5.0 and i pulled it out once and cleaned it which seemed to help for a little while. well now it pops out of 2nd and 4th as soon as you let off the cluch. Even if you hold the shifter it will grind and pop out. im going to check the shifter tomorrow. I did the drill mod but havent drove it hard yet. Any ideas? It never had any problems like this before and was fine when i parked it.
