Default Did I choose the right stage Monster?

Really hard to pass up the current pricing, so after dropping a few hints with the wife, I get a nice liitle surprise in my inbox of an invoice from Tick stating "Thanks for your purchase!"

I love that woman!

Long story short, I opted for the
Stage 2 Premium w/ Slave, Release, and Pilot Bearings
18# Flywheel
Tick Master
Tick SpeedBleeder
ARP everything

Car is currently @ 452 / 417 at the wheels, but again that was with a shot clutch (after 7 consecutive pulls) and maxed injectors. I've now got a set of 42's ready to go on and obviously the flywheel may free up an additional 8 or so. In the near future I may get a ported FAST 102 or port the 92 I already have for about (10?) more.
No nitrous planned ANYTIME soon.

What's your thoughts guys? Car is 99% street until I get an 8.8 and better driveshaft. It predominately sees the interstate, but there's some bumper to bumper thrown in there as well. I didn't go with the stage 3 b/c I've read when they glaze you need to beat on them, and I don't want to grenade the rear end just yet....

Thanks for your thoughts.

Street car - stage 2 will be fine.

If you plan on leaving on slicks - i'd opt for a level 3 or higher.

I agree, Stage 2 will be perfect for your HP levels. If you ever plan on going bigger or slaping some slicks on the car you should be better off with a bigger stage clutch such as a stage 3.

I am rocking a stage 3 in my car and I kinda wish I went with a stage two sometimes. The clutch basically is either engaged or its not. There is not a lot of wiggle room in number to bumper traffick. I think you made the right choice.

Just to update:

Install is done, gents. Put about 200 miles on her 2 weeks ago before I came back offshore.

WHAT-A-DIFFERENCE!

There's no way in HELL I'm ever going back to a stock clutch, be it an LS7 or otherwise. This thing is smooth like butter.

Sidebar info:

I have Spohn solid motor mounts. Had to massage the top of the tunnel to get that last bolt from the bellhousing to block, but no biggie.

What I ran into though, was with the stock clutch, the pressure plate is "deeper" so to speak, and couldn't remove the bellhousing until the stock pressure plate was removed from the flywheel.

With the monster on the other hand, I was able to set the BH right back in place after everything was installed.

Just an FYI
