Default T56 cable drive speedometer modification

I do a cable drive mod to GM T56's that allows you to use both the VSS and a cable speedometer. I've been doing these for years now but haven't advertised much because the speedometer drive gear I use was discontinued, but just last week they became available again.

I modify your housing and include speedometer gears matched to your rear axle ratio and tire size. I've done a number of mods for people on here and over at thirdgen.org.

PM me for any questions you have.

When the mods see this, you'll get a slap on the wrist for advertising. You'd maybe get more interest in the conversions section though

The issue is more about non sponsor advertising. The conversion section is where guys are doing engine/trans swaps, and speedo operation is one big issue. Although guys there are working on a discreet electric motor drive to attach to their speedo units which doesnt involve a trans modification.

Either way, more options is always good.

I'm subscribed to the thread about the electric motor speedometer drive. Seems likes it's been a long time since any progress was made. It's a great idea if they can get it working.

I had this mod done and it will work out very well in my monte carlo. I wanted to keep the stock interior and guages and this seemed to be the simplest way to hook up a cable driven speedo.

thanks again Alloy
