upgraded to MGW
I had to call MGW to get mine, I had problems trying to checkout via their website. Anyways, best shifter on the market for these Fbodies by far. The machine work/fit & finish is second to none. I thought it was a tad ridiculous to spend $220 on an aftermarket shifter then another $45ish on a new shift ****, but now that I have it.... it's probably one of my favorite mods I've done to my car.
I just ordered a mgw this week, i also have the pos factory hurst. I can drive stick but so tired of looking for 3rd gear all the time or granny shifting. I'll know next week when the mgw comes in

I went from the factory Hurst shifter to the MGW and i have to say it has made a noticeable difference in my driving pleasure. Haven't even come close to missing a shift with it. Feels great, short and direct. The 2-3 is rock solid.

i came from a pro5.0 to mgw. night and day difference. i ordered my shifter right from mgw, as well. no comparison between mgw and pro5.0 - at all. hard to describe, but it feels much more solid, in all regards. tighter shift pattern, less movement from the shifter, period.
edit: i have a ws6 store short stick on the car. the pro5.0 / short stick setup was on there for 6 years.

Granted I've never used another shifter besides stock + short stick in my TA, but I think people don't realize just how good the MGW feels. I've gotten used to it now, but it just feels so good to shift. I do not like the shifter in my Mustang at all, which is a Pro 5.0. Feels bad man.
I currently have the factory hurst shifter w/ lou's short stick. I've never been overly impressed with it. I had considered either the 5.0 or the MGW. I think my decision just got a little easier.

Put a MGW in my car back in 09. Ordered it from MGW with the stick in the position I wanted (r/h drive). It came with absolutely everything needed to install. Cost me less landed here in NZ than buying our local equivalent or the Aussie Rip Shifter
