Clutch Recommendations? So i am replacing my clutch in my 98 z28 ... alot of different makers out there, which have yall had the best luck with? any input would be great!
Also, since i am replacing the clutch, what else should i replace since the tranny will be dropped?

If i go with a monster will i have to change out my flywheel? i know with the LS7 i do ... im by far no mechanic, which is why im here asking prior to ordering all the parts to drop off to the garage lol
I'm going to follow this thread because I'm going to be upgrading my clutch soon too. I've read very good things about the Monster Stage 2 clutch, but it's a bit pricey. Are any of the Spec clutches any good?

clutch, slave cylinder, ARP flywheel bolts, ARP pressure plate bolts......flywheel is recommended but optional depending on what clutch kit you go with.....clutch master cylinder is optional too, you can do the "drill mod", buy a Tick MC adjustable or Mcleod.....Tick remote bleeder line makes bleeding super easy
which kit depends on what you plan to do with the car, how much you'll drive it, street or race.......you probably already know this, but if you're going to be mostly street, stay away from puck design discs.....Monster 2 or Spec 2+ are damn good street clutches that can hold decent power for a long time......Monster 3 and Textrailia Z are excellent street/strip clutches than shine on the track

I only plan to see the track maybe 2 times a year, not on slicks...this is a daily driver, even when im done building it i dont expect to have much over 350-375RWHP

drill mod is where you drill out the small passage from the clutch master cylinder into the line to allow for better high rpm shifting.....just do a search, there are several write ups.
Monster 2 with LW flywheel would be nice......for a street car at your power level that only sees the track a couple times a year and won't be on sticky tires, an LS7 clutch would also be fine.....upgrade to an LS2 flywheel, buy an LS7 clutch kit, drill mod, remote bleeder, new slave cyl, new bolts, and you'll be good to go.

My Stage 3 feels great with the Tick Master. I love the pedal pressure and feel honestly. I'd get the Stage 2 depending on the power you're making and if you plan to stick there. I have no idea where I'm going with my car so I decided to go Stage 3 to make sure I had enough to cover it.
On Tick's website, they have a "total package", which includes the Monster Stage 2 with the Tick Master Cylinder and all the bolts, etc. you need for $1,024.98. Would this be a good option on a heads/cam/150 shot car? Would a Spec Stage 2+ and a Tick Master Cylinder be ok too? It's about $350.00 cheaper.
Iv'e had a hub break on my LS7 clutch going around a corner and hit a bump with 285/35/19 on the rear which I'm sure that was part of the cause, but after that experience I would never buy an LS7. Another bad experience of mine last fall driving hard and shifting fast I had my stock master cylinder go out and that is another bad experience when you have to drive it home with no clutch at all

Colorado Speed currently has the best price on the Monster Clutches, at least they did a week ago when I ordered mine. Paid $602.xx for the stage two clutch, standard flywheel, arp hardware. Ordered the Tick Master through the WS6store as I had a few other odds and ends to order there. Came out to less than $1000 for everything. Obviously, the stage 3 will run a little more, but Co Speed has a $110 off monster clutch code right now. I would suggest taking that route.
